A variant of our enterprise-grade Auditor 6M with added switching control capability for up to 3 contactors via in-house apps or 3rd party apps via the Wattwatchers API.
Highlights
- Switching control of up to 3 contactors (1-phase or 3-phase or a combination of both) via in-house apps or 3rd party apps via the Wattwatchers API
- Monitoring of up to six single-phase circuits (AC-only) per device. Also
works in 2- and 3-phase applications. - Cellular communications – real-time monitoring and switching control, no communications cabling required
- Compact form factor of 2 poles wide (36mm) excluding contactors
- Device and switching status indicators (LEDs) on the front of the unit
Overview
The Auditor 6M+3SW is a specialised variant of our highly acclaimed Auditor 6M model. Retaining the same form factor, the Auditor 6M+3SW comes with an additional switching control feature, enabling the management of up to three contactors (which can comprise a combination of single-phase or three-phase circuits) through our in-house apps or 3rd party apps via the Wattwatchers API.
Similar to its popular sibling, the Auditor 6M+3SW provides real-time, Class 1-accuracy energy data. It comes with built-in cellular communication offering plug-and-play energy monitoring and switching control solutions suitable for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. The Auditor 6M+3SW is also equipped with three LEDs to indicate the switching state of the device.
How it works
The Auditor 6M+3SW is installed in the electrical switchboard and can be paired with up to three contactors. Once installed and configured, the energy consumption can be remotely monitored and switching can be controlled at individual circuit level in real time. The monitoring data and the switching functionally are accessible on computers, tablets and smartphones via our REST API, the Wattwatchers Software Toolkit (including the MyEnergy mobile app), or third-party interfaces.
Use cases
- Hot water control – Turn hot water on and off to capture excess solar energy and maximise the self-consumption of your own renewable energy.
- Electric vehicle charging – Schedule EV charging based on solar generation or ensure vehicle charging occurs in the lowest cost period of the day.
- Home energy management – Control and coordinate other suitable on/off loads such as pool pumps, electric underfloor heating and more to meet your energy and automation targets.
- Solar inverter control – As implemented by export control platforms (e.g. SA Power Networks), direct AC disconnection of the inverter supply or intelligent control via the DRM0 port of the solar inverter to remotely control the inverter.
- Peak load (shaving) or maximum demand management – For Commercial and Industrial customers, automate load distribution throughout the day to avoid and reduce peak demand charges.
Please note that the Wattwatchers apps (Fleet, Onboarding, Dashboard and MyEnergy) currently only support manual on/off control. 3rd party applications or integration with the Wattwatchers API is required to enable some use cases.
Contactors
The Auditor 6M+3SW works with contactors driven by 230V AC (50Hz) control coil voltage. Wattwatchers supplies 25A to 63A contactors for single-phase and three-phase applications. The single-phase contactor is 1-pole wide (18mm) and the three-phase contactor is 2-pole wide (36mm). The contactors are rated for 1,000,000 cycles of manual switch operating life and 100,000 cycles of electrical coil operating life. More information about our contactors can be found here.
Please submit a support request if you require contactors with different ratings.
National Measurements Act 1960 mandated utilising NMI-approved technology for trade in Australia that includes 'behind-the-meter' energy billing or power-purchase-agreement (PPA).
It's illegal to use anything (from Wattwatchers inventory) but the Auditor 6M+One for trade or billing purposes.
