      This Knowledge Base (KB) article guides customer support team through the process of purchasing from Supply Partners while opting not to use Solar Analytics. The process includes the creation of a device group (if the customer is not already registered), completion of a New Subscriber Form, necessary allocations and setups within Django/Stripe, addition of the device ID to the customer's Device Group and subscription (if already a customer), and removal of all Solar Analytics associations for the specified device.

      Step-by-Step Process:

      1. Creation of Device Group (For New Customers):

        • If the customer is not already registered, initiate the creation of a Device Group. This involves entering relevant details, such as customer information and contact details.
        • Complete the New Subscriber Form to ensure accurate data submission.

      2. Allocations and Setups in Django/Stripe:

        • Execute all necessary allocations and setups within Django and Stripe to facilitate a smooth purchasing process.

      3. Adding Device ID and Subscription (For Existing Customers):

        • For existing customers, manually add the purchased device's ID to their designated Device Group.
        • Ensure the device is appropriately subscribed, considering the specific subscription plan chosen by the customer.

      4. Removal of Solar Analytics Associations:

        • Manually detach all associations of the purchased device from Solar Analytics. This step is crucial to ensure that the device operates independently of Solar Analytics.

      Important Notes:

      • Verify that all information entered during the creation of the Device Group and completion of the New Subscriber Form is accurate.
      • Perform thorough checks on allocations and setups within Django and Stripe to prevent any issues during the purchasing process.
      • For existing customers, confirm the addition of the device ID to the appropriate Device Group and subscription.
