Look at the green terminal on the top of the device to identify which CET PMC-340 Meter that you are working with.
The meter type label is located on the left side of the unit and the Model number will include PMC-340-BA for whole current devices or PMC-340-BB for CT Meter devices. However, in many photos from installers it is impossible to see or read the label.
WARNING: Incorrect connection of the meters may result in a dangerous situation.
If the whole current connections are made to the CT meter this will damage it and is not supported by the warranty.
PMC-340-BA Whole Current Meter
Terminals 1,2,3 and 4 are all blanked out.
These terminals are not used by the whole current meter as the incoming voltage and current inputs are combined on the L1, L2 and L3 connections and pass through the meter.
PMC-340-BB CT Connect Meter
Terminals 1,2,3 and 4 are all present. These are the voltage reference connections used by the CT Meter Type only.
If the whole current connections are made to the CT meter this will damage it and is not supported by the warranty.
If this occurs, the equipment must be de-energised and removed immediately from the site as it represents a safety issue.
